TCGplayer market prices are in USD, but your store may sell in another currency. Synq converts each calculated price to your Shopify store currency before saving it, so your listings always show the right currency.
When does conversion happen?
Synq works out each price step by step, and currency conversion is one of those steps:
- Start from the USD market price and apply your strategy.
- Apply a discount for each condition.
- Convert to your store's currency.
- Keep it between your floor and ceiling, if set.
- Round it up to a clean ending, if set.
Because conversion happens before your price rules, your floor, ceiling and rounding all work in your store's currency, so a floor of 2 means 2 in your currency.
What currency are my prices in?
Whatever your Shopify store currency is. Synq reads it from your store and converts to it, so you do not enter exchange rates yourself.
Tips
- Set your floor, ceiling and rounding in your own currency, since that is what the rules use.
- If you change your store currency in Shopify, run Sync all prices afterward so prices reflect the new currency.
