Exceptions: set a card's price yourself
An exception is a price setting a product has for itself. It wins over the rule that prices it.

Three kinds of exception
- Own formula: Market price, Market + % or Market - %, used instead of the rule's formula.
- Own minimum: the higher of the product's minimum and the rule's minimum wins.
- Excluded from rules: for one condition. No run changes its price. It shows as "Excluded from rules · not changed".
Set your own price on a card
To hand the price back to its rule, click Back to its rule on that row.
- 1Open Inventory and expand the product.
- 2Edit the Listed price on the condition's row.
- 3Save. That condition is now excluded from rules.
Other places to set an exception
- Inventory › the product's Exceptions cell.
- Inventory › select products › Exceptions panel, for many products at once.
- Add products › Pricing configuration › Exception, when you add the card. Pick Your price to keep rules away from it.
Find your exceptions
In Inventory, open Views and pick Own formula or Excluded from rules.
On Price rules, the line at the top counts your exceptions.
Good to know
- Prices edited in Shopify admin are overwritten at the next run of the product's rule. Set the price in Synq instead, or exclude the condition.
- Excluded conditions keep their price for good, even when the market moves. Check the Excluded from rules view now and then.
