Getting started
The setup: your games and first price rule
The setup asks which games you sell, how you want to price, and where your cards are today. It saves your first price rule for you.
The setup, step by step
The page is called Set up synq and shows "Step N of M" at the top. Press Enter or click Continue to move on.
Some stores see a shorter setup without the price and publishing steps. In that case your first rule starts at the market price, and you can change it later in Price rules.
- 1Which games do you sell? Tick every game you sell. Games your store already sells are ticked for you. You need at least one.
- 2Set your prices. Pick your price compared with the TCGplayer market price, from 10% under to 10% over. Then pick how each condition is priced.
- 3What happens when you add a card? Pick Save it as a draft or Put it on sale right away, and tick the sales channels under Sell it on.
- 4Where are your cards today? Pick Link my products, Import my file or Add my first cards.
- 5You're set up. Check the summary. Click Change on any row to go back to it.
The price step
Your price sets where you sit against the TCGplayer market price: -10%, -5%, Market, +5% or +10%.
Each condition decides how played cards are priced:
- Its own TCGplayer price: each condition follows its own market price. This is the default.
- Standard: LP 10% off Near Mint, MP 25% off, HP 40% off, DMG 60% off.
- A little less: LP 5% off, MP 15% off, HP 25% off, DMG 40% off.
- Same as Near Mint: every condition at the Near Mint price.
Minimum and rounding
Open Minimum and rounding under the price step to set two more things.
A sample card shows the market price and your price for each condition, so you can see the effect before you continue.
- Never below: no minimum, or about $0.25, $0.50 or $1, converted to your store's currency.
- Rounding: Exact, Up to .99, Up to .49 or Nearest whole.
What the setup saves
- Your games. Search in Add products shows these first.
- Draft or on sale, and the sales channels new products go to.
- A price rule called "All products". It covers every game, prices new products as you add them, and re-prices your inventory every day at 6:00 AM in your store's time zone.
Only one first rule
The setup makes the "All products" rule only when your store has no price rules yet.
After the setup: Home
Home shows a guide called Get your store ready, one step at a time. You can hide it, and it goes away when the required steps are done.
- 1Add your first 10 cards. Search right in the step, or click Add cards.
- 2See a card on your store (optional). Change how cards read opens Settings › Online Store.
- 3Put your cards in collections. Pick collections opens Settings › What you sell.
- 4Check your first price update. See price updates opens Price rules. This step is done after your first rule run.
- 5Sell in your physical store with Shopify POS (optional). Shown only when Shopify POS is installed.
Good to know
- Drafts are the default. Nobody sees a draft until you publish it in Shopify.
- Everything can change later. Games are in Settings › What you sell. Prices are in Price rules.
- Your first price update happens at the next 6:00 AM, or right away if you run the rule yourself. See Preview, run and schedule.
